The 50th Tianguis Turístico Returns Home to Acapulco

Mexico's most important tourism trade event is celebrating its 50th anniversary — and it's coming home. The 50th edition of the Tianguis Turístico lands in Acapulco in April 2026, the first time the trade show has returned to the city where it was born since the recovery period following Hurricane Otis. The event brings tour operators, travel agents, hospitality brands, and government tourism boards from around the world to Acapulco for a week of deal-making, site visits, and formal recognition of Mexico's tourism industry rebuilding efforts.

For Acapulco, the return of Tianguis is a major milestone — both a symbol of the city's reconstruction progress and a practical win for the hotels, restaurants, and transportation businesses that make up the local tourism economy. New direct flights from Texas were added specifically around the Tianguis window, and infrastructure improvements along the Costera have been timed to coincide.
